The Vera and Arturo Schwarz Collection of Israeli Art

  • Date iconMarch 2 2001 - June 23 2001
  • Curator(s): Amitai Mendelsohn
Love at First Sight presented a large and varied collection of works by 69 leading Israeli artists. The exhibition afforded a glimpse into the wide range of subjects, local and universal, that preoccupied Israeli artists in the last three decades of the 20th century: the Israeli landscape, borders, wandering, war and loss, the affinity to Judaism, the transience of human life, art in the mirror of art, the artistic legacy of Marcel Duchamp, and mroe.
