One of the most exciting developments in design in the 1990s, Droog ("dry") Design rebelled against over-design and the personality cults of designers, and advocated a "back-to-basics" approach, minimizing waste by recycling existing or found objects and encouraging the use of new materials and cutting-edge technologies for old forms.
