  • Date iconDecember 15 2006 - June 17 2007
  • Curator(s): Shlomit Steinberg
Age of Innocence: Portraying Children in the European Tradition" explored depictions of childhood in some 40 works of art, dating from the 15th century through the present day. The works, which were primarily drawn from the Israel Museum's own collection, reflected the evolving roles of children in European culture and the sociological changes in attitude toward children over the last five centuries.
